Alternate for Karo syrup
« on: June 23, 2020, 12:50:33 AM »
My friend is in another country in South Asia region and Karo syrup does not exist there neither does any corn syrup, most he can get is

sugar
canned sugar
honey
rock sugar
bakery sweetner etc
he can get some random fruit syrup for example - dates syrup (if in stock) or passion fruit ( if in stock) and so on,

Please can you tell, if there is any alternate to karo corn syrup,
he is willing to make 20ppm and then 320ppm batch hot reduced method.

Thank you so much

Go to a bodybuilding shop or home brewing shop.

Ask for glucose, maltose, or Carbogain. All these will work.

glucose is  just regular glucose powder? That is available there at medical shops. is that what you mean?

A teaspoonful in a few ounces of water will do. It doesn't have to be any particular amount.
