Bypassing SilverTron Elites Automatic Shutoff
« on: April 23, 2017, 12:45:02 PM »
Suppose that you wanted to brew a batch of Colloidal Silver to some strength or volume that is not in the SilverTron's menus.  Perhaps you wanted to make 1 gallon of 100 ppm but there is no menu choice for that combination.  One way to do that is to bypass the auto shutoff system and use the SilverTron as a constant current system.

To do that, simply set the ppm and volume to the maximum, 4 liters and 320 ppm.  Then you would calculate a run time based on your mA setting and time the run.

Calculate the run time:  Minutes = (ppm * ml * .015) / mA.

There is the unknown and the unknowable.  It's a wise man who knows the difference.

This is an interesting one. Although I have to be honest, with 1 litre of 320 pressing towards 6 hours with set up time and such like, I’m not sure that I can be around to monitor it for larger quantities.

Once again though, just another reason that the Silvertron knows no bounds (well almost  8) )
