Ultrasonic silver generator question
« on: August 22, 2020, 03:18:15 AM »
Hi there!

Online I saw an advertisement of ultrasonic silver generator.  ( https://ionexx.com/ionx.html )

It claims stirring with magnetic stirrer or with aquirum pump air bubbles is inferior and this product does the agitating not by stirring or airbubbles but by ultrasonic sound waves.
Does anyone know anything about this? Could we duplicate this if this technique is so enhanced? While reading the site it looked promising.

I'm curious if anyone knows if this ultrasonic method is a better way and what frequency the sound waves would be.

Or you can research first!

This IONX makes 4 ounces at a time.
The silver rods are not included and, because of the machine design, are a special order item.
The system appears to require an App (Android or iPhone) to use.
Instructions indicate that no reducing agent is needed.
The company focuses on the end product being a "hydrosol." Sounds impressive, doesn't it? But the product must be stored in dark containers with no sunlight exposure. Sure sounds like ionic silver to me. Plus a comment was found stating that "the water is clear after the process."

Good luck!

From conversations with a sales man for this product, it became clear that this is an inferior product, based on (otherwise true) claims that ultrasonic waves can agitate and reduce ionic silver. The problem with the product is that the ultrasonic energy is way too low to provide any reliable rate of reduction and, as a consequence, an unknown mix of ionic silver solution, Colloidal Silver and microsilver is produced. Ultrasonic agitation is NOT superior to a magnetic stirrer or a well executed air bubbler, it is only effective when very well executed with high power sonification with a probe (see for ex. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3920662/ or https://www.hindawi.com/journals/jnm/2016/4941231/). There is no evidence that low power sonification will have any effect.
