Gold coin or wire?

Kephra,
 Have you noticed any difference or is one better than the other in making colloidal gold?  Gold coin or gold wire? Any info if any difference between the two besides price?

Pure gold is pure gold.  I use wire because its easier to meet the goal of minimize the anode and maximize the cathode.
