320ppm diluted vs 20ppm
« on: January 24, 2020, 05:54:20 PM »
I diluted 320 ppm by adding 15oz of dw to 1 oz of 320. I got a amber/iced tea color instead of a yellow/gold color which is the middle sample in the pic. If I keep adding water I will eventually get a yellow/gold similar to the sample color pics kephra provided. But I have to add way more than what is called for. Did something go wrong? I made the 320 per kephras instructions for make 250 ml worth. Should I just throw the measurements out the window and just go by color?

As I have said multiple times on this forum, you cannot judge 320 ppm by color.  Gelatin makes the particles look darker.  The amount of gelatin also impacts the color.  Follow the dilution.
There is the unknown and the unknowable.  It's a wise man who knows the difference.

The colour looks good to me. Exactly the colour I get when I dilute my 320 ppm to 20 ppm. Been doing that a lot lately due to it being winter and everyone I meet is coughing sickness all over the place.
