Ascorbic acid as reducing agent
« on: February 27, 2015, 01:14:01 PM »
It's been many years since I made my first colloidal gold batch, since then I've been having a long break from colloidal gold production. Now I'm beginning to do it again. Back then I used the electrolysis method, and I think that I used ascorbic acid as reducing agent once or twice, and I think that they turned out to be very good and effective batches.

How have your experiences been with ascorbic acid as reducing agent?

I want to try it out again. Is there a recipe for ascorbic acid reduction here on the forum?

I have never tried it with gold, but it didn't work out very well with silver.
