Colloidal Silver Production / Re: Colloidal Silver : Is this color usual ?

Yes I was saying so, it is strange reaction
I was following the requirements though....
Maybe Kephra and other members can share their opinions on what may be causing this ?

Thanks!
I believe your problem lies with your maltodextrin.  Where did you get the 1.7 gram amount from?

Since making lower ppms produced clear solutions, but 120ppm did not, then the prime suspect is the maltodextrin which is both the reducing agent and the stabilizer.

Maltodextrin is not a standardized product, and consists of chains of glucose molecules of between 3 and 17 glucose molecules, its stabilizing power depends on how long the chain is.  So maltodextrin has different stabilizing ability depending on how it was made.

I suggest trying a batch with double the amount of maltodextrin.  If that does not solve the problem, then I suggest using cinnamon extract instead.

The opacity is not good. I would go back to Karo if it makes clear yellow Colloidal Silver with your setup. Strangely, my setup gives the opposite; Maltodextrin gives clear results but Golden Syrup (UK version similar to Karo) makes cloudy Colloidal Silver.

This is what the amount of 23 milligrams looks like dissolved in 1L of tap water.
Thanks to the protective colloid, it remains stable in tap water and even in isotonic solution with 0.9% saline.
A protective colloid is necessary for high concentrations, but is also beneficial at low concentrations.
Our body contains electrolytes. Unprotected colloidal silver will coagulate when used internally or externally.

Yes, in a pinch you can take a very small amount with the tip of a knife and add it to a liter of water and stir and wait until it is dissolved.

Here is a example of the colors of different concentrations.

Totally understand.

So should I just put all of it in 1L right away, or is there an ability to ration as much is needed and estimate the ppm by the color of the dilution?

@ User_72
You are new to this forum, apart from me, the only one who has purchased this product and wants to use it.
I just want to make sure you understand that you have purchased the most concentrated pure form of Colloidal Silver.
Normally you would need a scale with a milligram resolution if you don't immediately dilute it in 1 liter of distilled water.
The resulting 20,000 PPM is not handled in this forum either, since the Colloidal Silver is produced here electrochemically in smaller concentrations (max. 350 ppm with gelatin capping).
So you have to have a plan on how to dilute it sensibly.

And once again very clear: High concentrations more than 20 PPM are only intended for external applications. Ointments, nose drops, eye drops, etc.

Colloidal Silver Production / Colloidal Silver : Is this color usual ?

Hello!
After experimenting making my Colloidal Silver at different PPMs 20, 40, 60 and 80, this weekend I tried to make my 120 PPM so I used the following :

To 1000 ml of distilled water I added from the beginning :
- Maltodextrin as a reducer : 1.7 grams
- Electrolyte solution : 1 ml
Magnetic Stirring & Heating at 60°C

- Current at 8 mA
- Processing Time : 3h 45 min

I didn't add Geltain to the solution as this is intented for external use.
What is suprising is that each time I try to create the 120 PPM solution during the last hour the solution started showing an opaque color as you see on the pictures, is this a normal color you think ?

With Karo we don't have this opacity, is Malto is what is causing it ?

Thank you for your inputs!

I intended on giving one vial to a friend and keeping one for myself.

I was unaware that 20 ppm was the max that should be taken internally, I also wasn’t sure of any other limit either, I wouldn’t feel comfortable going above 40 ppm internally anyway. I’m sure I can find other posts on this forum to see what people have pushed comfortably.

My use case is predominantly topical and possibly for a humidifier. I do wonder if enemas are possible though? With animal protein as a capping agent, doubt that makes sense to administer directly to blood.

I know this is effectively a lifetime supply, and honestly, for $168 a vial, I can’t be bothered to think about this anymore. I just want a reliable product and the documentation puts to rest any doubt that I had with all other sources. I said I would make my own for years now, but just always hit roadblocks. It’s nice to have access to this degree of convenience.

I hope you know that 50g is a very large amount that can be diluted not only to 2 liters at 20000ppm but also for example to 2000 liters of colloidal silver at 20 ppm.
If applied internally, that would of course be too much for even 10 people over a lifetime. All higher concentrations are only suitable for external use. Ointments, nose drops, eye drops, etc.
In other words, in a internally orally used form 20 PPM you can open a internet shop with 2000 liters. Or you can do like David Avocado Wolfes and fill it into 400 small 5ml pharmacy bottles at 20000 ppm and sell them for half the price.

Of course, you must take the legal regulations of your country into account. In Germany, this sale would be subject to pharmacies and you are probably not a pharmacy.

BTW: You got a good discount there.
