What I am trying to determine is, to what amount (if any) the gelatine has a negative impact on the silver's ability to do good on the skin or if you add some to water.

For example if you were to have some gel capped Colloidal Silver and put it on a skin wound, would the silver still be able to function? Could you put gel capped Colloidal Silver in tap water to keep it fresher and kill organisms?

I put 320 ppm gel capped Colloidal Silver into the milk.  The milk doesn't spoil for several weeks after the 'best by' date.

Edit: Duh!  Apples and oranges. Gel capped 320 ppm Colloidal Silver works in milk because the gelatin coating dissolves. Don't know if it dissolves if/when put on dry skin.

Gel Capped is more effective than non gel capped AgNPs as an antimicrobial!

Thanks.

Wow very nice. How much 320 gel capped do you add? And what amount of milk is it?

Turbidaceous:

I don't drink milk often but when I want it I like to have it on hand.

I currently have 1 gallon full-fat organic milk.

I haven't really measured how much 320 ppm Colloidal Silver I add ... guessing about a tablespoon or so.

The last gallon (actually about a half gallon remained) with an expire date of November 18 was dumped out a couple days ago.  I smelled it - it smelled okay. It was not lumpy. I did not taste it, as I had gotten a replacement.

It would have been interesting if you had tasted it just prior to throwing away.

The gelatine capping doesn't hinder the silver's ability to kill off bacteria? I am having a hard time getting my head around this.
