1st attempt 320ppm
« on: May 19, 2020, 09:10:56 PM »
hello,
I tried to make 320ppm at 10mA with silver wire ANODE 14guage(frequently cleaned while making) and 26guage  0.4mm ( very thin wire, thicker wire wont let me go to 10mA so I had to use thinner wire )  copper wire CATHODE for 240minutes(as per formula).  The silver wire got disappeared a little up to the length it was submerged in water after couple hours ( check photo).

Please review and comment my 320ppm photo below:

Regards <3

You mean 10 volts, right?

So now, you should put 15ml (1 tablespoon) of that in 250ml of water to check the color.

10VDC and above at constant 10mA

Yep, thats it.  You are now a master at making very tiny balls :)

thanks a lot, just 2 more questions,

1. while I was making 320ppm, i had not choice but to only submerge the anode and cathode 5mm into water to maintain constant 10mA at 10VDC+ and above, i think as long as there is 10vdc+ and 10mA, anode and cathode dipping length in solution does not matter?

2. is it normal for anode to disappear like it did in the photo for 320+ ppm?

Thank you so much

[amended cathode to show as anode - Admin]

Unless I've got this very wrong it is the anode (+) that depletes not the cathode (-).  If your setup is depleting the cathode and you swapped out for copper don't drink it what ever you do.

Also I assume your batch size was 500ml.

good catch, it was my mistake, I wrote cathode instead of Anode.
Thx
