Title: My Colloidal Silver
Post by: jjjasonx on September 01, 2018, 12:36:02 AM
Hi, everyone!

I just made some Colloidal Silver, and wanted to know your opinion.
This is how it looks after maltodextrin and heat.

What ppm is it supposed to be?

What ppm is it supposed to be?
I was actually going for a medium to high ppm. Though, I wasn't sure how to be sure to get that. Why exactly?

And, besides that, what's your opinion on that batch?

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Without knowing the ppm, it cannot be evaluated.  Its pretty dark, and that can be from either of two things.  A) Large particle size, or B) high ppm.

To know the ppm, you must know the constant current through the cell, the time the cell was run, and the amount of water.

Oh, thanks, didn't know all that.

Have three questions for you.
a) It actually, wasn't very dark before the heat, don't know if that changes anything. Does it?
b) How could I avoid high particles size?
c) Is high particle size dangerous?

Thanks.

a) yes.  Heat speeds up the chemistry.
b) Constant current level suitable for size of your anode + correct chemistry.
c) Not dangerous, just ineffective.

I suggest you read and digest the Articles.

Thanks a lot for all your answers, and your time.

I was afraid that high particle size was related to argyria. If you say it doen's have to do with that,  That's good.

Yeah, I will be doing another batch, at some point, with a surely constant current level. And I will be back for your review.
Thanks a lot.

jjjasonx,

Welcome to the forum.  Looks like you have a lot of reading to do.  The Articals by Kephra are a must!  You could end up on the road to argyria if you drink enough of the uncapped colloidal silver.  And there are a lot of factors that determines what “enough” is!  So it’s a must to get the basics down first.

  1) Was distilled water used and how much?
  2) .999 or .9999 pure silver used as anode? (no old silver coins or silver jewelry)
  3) Was the correct amount of ELECTROLYTE added at the start? (A&H washing soda)
  4) What was the “current”, “milliamperes” and amount of “time” it was left to cook?
  5) What was the temp of the water if you used heat? (15-20) is the max obtainable PPM without heating)
  6) What was the amount of REDUCER you used? (Maltodextrin or Karo used and when was it added)

That should give some idea of the things you need to know before you start making any colloidal silver.  And having the confidence to consume what you have made will go a long way in making it for others!

We have to evaluate by sight and exactly how it was made and what with!  Otherwise it’s a total shot in the dark!  But I will give you a shot in the dark guesstimate but don’t hold be to it and PLEASE DON’T DRINK IT!!!!
60-160ppm with a lot of maltodextrin/OR A LOT OF CONTAMINANTS!  DO NOT DRINK!

With all that being said, the best advise I can give in all good conscience is to advise you to get a SilverTron Jr or the Elite if you can afford it.  It removes most questions and mistakes which at best saves you time and money and you still get the total understanding of how to make the best and most consistent colloidal silver ANYWHERE!  I don’t make or sell them, I just love them!  After a couple years of wasted research time and 1K lost on inferior colloidal silver generators from fast talkers I found this forum and have never looked back.  I think there are a number of members on this forum that make the best Colloidal Silver (AgNP) in the world!!
