Colloidal Silver Production / Re: Capping colloids

If I'm not remembering incorrectly, no it will not work.  Animal gelatin is a protein.  Vegetable gelatine is not.

The stomach cannot dissolve nor digest proteins.  Thats done by several enzymes secreted into the upper part of the small intestine.  That happens, it frees the silver particles in the part of the digestive system where they can be absorbed quickly and you get close to 100% absorption.

"Naked" (non-gel capped) in the stomach, I'd suspect you'd get maybe 50%.  Its not that the stomach digests the silver particles. It can't but it can cause the particles to agglomerate (stick together) forming masses of them that are too big to be absorbed into the blood.

The facility of the gelatine is to get the silver particles through the stomach unharmed into the small intestine to increase bioavailability to near 100%.

https://www.cgcsforum.org/index.php?topic=2690.0 I tried to make gold chloride using this topic but I used deionized water instead of distilled water. ;D
Do you think it is safe?

Colloidal Silver Production / Salt Test

Here are some samples... 500 milliliter beaker were used to make ionic silver. Then divided into 100 mililiters to make metalic silver.
İn order of ===>  1(heat)  2(1/10 dw/glucose syrp 1 drop)  3(1/1 deionized w/glucose syrp 1 drop)  4(150 mg maltodextrin)  5(1/10 deionized w/glucose syrp 1 drop then added 20 mg vegetable gelatine).
Added 1/4 tsp rock salt and stirred. :D Sorry for bad english and inexperience.

Hi Dean,

This is so helpful if you thank you. Can't wait to get to work!

All the best

... You just have to make sure you ask for pure silver 0.999 (not hallmarked)
In the UK, you may find it useful, although expensive, to have the electrode hallmarked at the upper end. This would give absolute reassurance that you have purchased .999 fine silver. If you start with a bullion bar or coin, this also achieves the same thing. I would always ask a jeweller to run a small bar or coin through a rolling mill, to get a longer electrode with a bigger surface area.

Nice anode.

I have never used it. Perhaps Kephra could comment. I suspect that you may have to settle for cinnamon capping.

Colloidal Silver Production / Re: Debris and whispy

Its probably because you are running too much current without a stirrer.
The silver ions exceed their solubility limit, and precipitate, causing the whispy trail falling from the anode.
Invest in a magnetic stirrer, then you can run full current without that happening.
Clean the silver plating off the bottom of your mason jar by adding some hydrogen peroxide to the jar to dissolve it, then rinse thoroughly.
Yes to all of this.

You need to run production with heat, when the convection currents will stir the water adequately, or run production cold, when you will require vigorous stirring. Buy a stirrer, you will not regret it.

I use this one and it resolved the "whispy problem" while allowing me to run at 15 ma using a silver bar that I got from the SilverTron store. It also allows me to make very good 320 ppm colloidal silver using the SilverTron Elite. I have had it for years with frequent use.
