Making dextrine

I've hunted for dextrine this afternoon and couldn't find it nearby, so I've decided to make my own which of course is extra satisfying.

In the following link there are three different dextrines, which one would you aim for?

I would go for the yellow, as its the most water soluble according to your link.

I am surprised that your pharmacies do not carry a dextrin based fiber product akin to Benefiber.

I only called the closest health food stores and they had all sorts of stuff but not pure dextrine, I'll check some of the pharmacies, good idea.

Is your homemade dextrin water soluble?

It is, but it needs some heat, effort and time. It has a tendency to create lumps.
